Dear all,
we met some of you already at our Stammtisch last Monday or at the Welcome Reception last Friday. We hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to welcome you all at our events next week.
Do you want to engage for a good cause during your stay in Mannheim? Then join our Social Erasmus Team and come to the Kick-Off on Monday at 7.30 pm!
Afterwards our weekly Stammtisch will take place at the Cafe L3 at 8.00 pm, where you can meet friends, have interesting conversations and drink & chill together. We will sell tickets for our Welcome Party from 8.30 to 10.00 pm and ESNcards from 8.30 to 9.30 pm.
On Valentines Day we planned something romantic. We will take you to the Winterlichter at the Luisenpark! We'll meet at 6.00 pm at the main station. The event is already fully booked, however you can join us anyway, but you'll have to pay yourself (6 €).

You are all invited to our Social Erasmus - Kick-off

So, who are we and why should you join?
Our mission is to involve international students into volunteering services and to create a positive social impact in the local communities.
SocialErasmus (SE) offers opportunities for international students to get closer to the local community where they can engage in volunteer activities, which aids individual community members or the local community in general.
This project is for everyone who wants to experience Mannheim and Germany not only by partying or hanging out, but also for those who want to experience their student life in Mannheim and the Rhein-Neckar region by becoming socially involved!
This semester we’re planning to go for a
- cleaning-event (the most successful team will win a price),
- to help out at the “Tafel”, a food bank which is a charitable organization that distributes food to those who have difficulties purchasing it
- to collect lids against Polio
- and more!

Welcome to Mannheim everyone! We’re very happy that you’re all here and we would like to invite you to the first VISUM Stammtisch of the semester- a real VISUM classic and a tradition of the international student life here at the University of Mannheim! The VISUM Stammtisch always takes place on Mondays at the L3 Coffee Lounge and is your weekly chance to meet friends, have interesting conversations and drink & chill together :) !

It’s Valentine’s Day, let’s do something romantic !
On Thursday February 14th, we will go to Luisenpark with you to see the beautiful winter lights. Meeting time is 6.00 pm in front of the central station. From there, we will take the tram together to Luisenpark and the best: Visum pays for your entry! You can see the artistic and glittery light show with it’s moving images, music, water projections, and fantasy figures as well as all the other park attractions for free. We are looking forward to a magical evening with you.

You’ve arrived safely in Mannheim and survived your first parties?
We hope you are not tired of them already because THE best one is yet to come!
On Tuesday the 19th February we will turn the club Chaplin into a big colourful party not comparable to the other ones you might already have experienced here - show us that you are proud of your home country! Bring along your flag, paint your body with the colors of your country or wear the colors!
So grab your friends, your Buddy and let’s celebrate together! Cheers to Mannheim and all the great experiences you’re about to make during your exchange! We are looking forward to an unforgettable night with you!
