We want to see your most horrible outfit! There won’t be any fashion NO-GOs this evening! Grandma’s cardigan? 80s neon outfit? Sweatpants, tanktop and golden chain? Anything will be fine. The weirder, more unusual and crazier, the better.

- VISUM meets CineAStA Movie Night
In cooperation with CineAStA we are going to show you a German film from last year that has had a lot of success, both with audiences and critics. The film is a biopic about the youth of a famous German comedian. As always, the film has English subtitles! This is your chance to learn more about German culture and improve your language skills by watching a German movie.
Come by and experience how a little boy knows how to defy the big blows of fate with his humor!
When? Wednesday, October 16, 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm)

The film will be shown in German.

Mannheim’s Ice Hockey Team Die Adler has won the German Ice Hockey League 8 times now and remains its reigning champions. Therefore, living in Mannheim means yearning for a chance to go and see one of their games.

Wer in Mannheim lebt, kennt das Eishockey Team Die Adler. Und jeder, der in Mannheim lebt, will unbedingt eins Ihrer Spiele gesehen haben. Sie sind eine lebende Legende, die wir als achtfache und amtierende Meister der Deutschen Eishockey Liga gerne Söhne Mannheims nennen.
VISUM ermöglicht es euch nun, die brühmt-berüchtigten Adler live zu sehen! Mit VISUM goes Adler Mannheim habt ihr die Gelegenheit, zusammen mit anderen Interantionals das Heimspiel der Mannheimer Adler gegen die Augsburger Partner zu besuchen!

- VISUM meets AStA LU International Brunch
After an amazing international dinner we just couldn't get enough of all your delicious food! This is why VISUM is teaming up with AStA International HWG Ludwigshafen to prepare an international Brunch for YOU!
The procedure is the same as with the International Dinner: Prepare food which is typical for your home country or bring some traditional drinks. We will also provide some "Weißwürste" (sausage) and drinks. The idea is to exchange food among each other, so we ask you to bring something if you would like to participate. You don't need to bring a lot, just enough for everyone to try some.
You're also welcome to wear a traditional outfit typical for your country!

Nach einem erfolgreichen International Dinner konnten wir einfach nicht genug von euren leckeren Gerichten bekommen! Deshalb haben wir uns wieder mit unseren Freunden der AStA International HWG Ludwigshafen zusammengeschlossen und vernastalten gemeinsam ein International Brunch für euch!
Der Ablauf wird derselbe wie beim International Dinner sein: Bereitet ein Gericht, welches typisch für euer Heimatland ist, vor, oder bringt noch traditionelle Getränke mit. Wir werden ebenfalls Weißwürste und eine Auswahl an Getränken anbieten. Die Idee ist, sich gegenseitig landestypische Spezialitäten vorzustellen. Wenn ihr also am Brunch teilnehmt, bringt bitte auch selbst etwas mit. Ihr müsst nicht allzuviel zubereiten, aber so viel, dass jeder etwas probieren kann.
Gerne könnt ihr auch in landestypischer Kleidung kommen!

- SAVE THE DATE: VISUM Brewery Tour
As you all know (or got to know during your stay) Germany is famous for its beer culture. We are the 4th largest beer producer in the world! If you want to explore how German beer is made, you are invited to join our VISUM Brewery Tour. The tour includes a visit of the beer production site of the local brewery “Eichbaum”. You will be able to see the actual production and afterwards some traditional German food and beer will be provided!
WHEN: October 25th at 4.30 PM
WHERE: Meeting point is Mannheim Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof). We will head to the brewery “Eichbaum” together
Please bring your Semesterticket!
Admission: 11 €, which includes the tour + 2 beers of your choice + “Fleischkäse” (German form of meatloaf) and potato salad or a salad.

Wie ihr vielleicht wisst (oder während eures Aufenthaltes in Deutschland mitbekommen habt), ist Deutschland für seine Bierkultur bekannt. Im Moment sind wir der weltweit viertgrößte Bierproduzent! Wenn du herausfinden willst, wie deutsches Bier hergestellt wird, bist du herzlich zur VISUM Brauereitour eingeladen. Die Tour beinhaltet den Besuch der Bierproduktion der lokalen Brauerei “Eichbaum”. Du erhältst die Chance die Bierproduktion zu sehen und im Anschluss gibt es traditionelles deutsches Essen und Bier!
