Dear all,
Your semester with VISUM is soon ending. Next Monday will be our last Stammtisch, the Farewell Stammtisch at the Cafe L3 at 8.00 pm. There we will celebrate the wonderful time we spent together and meet one last time all the amazing people that made your time in Mannheim special. To celebrate the occasion, there will be a 2 for 1 special on all Vodka Long Drinks from 8.00 to 9.00 pm. So, grab your buddy and friends and make the last Stammtisch one you’ll never forget!
On Tuesday: Running Cocktail! Same procedure as the Running Dinner, only this time you are preparing Cocktails! Registration is closed.
After enjoying three cocktails at the Running Cocktail we all meet up at the Chaplin club for our legendary Latin Party! Show us your dance moves and party all night to best songs of Salsa and Reggaeton! At Chaplin club, 11 pm
You want to show off what you have learned about German during your VISUM/ Mannheim semester? Or you’re a native speaker of German who just loves to hang out with interesting people while enjoying free drinks and snacks? Then sign up for the Café Lingua Deutsch on Wednesday, May 8, 7 pm.
Join us on Friday, May 10 for a Wine Hike! The event had to be moved from May 4 to May 10 because of bad weather. All previous registrations will be honoured. Please send us a message, if you can’t make it Friday. More information on when the registration will open again will be posted on social media.
Also on Friday we will take you to a free tour through the largest chemical plant in the world, the BASF! If you are interested in the world of chemistry, then sign up now!
In the next two weeks will be two Social Erasmus events, the Unicef Uni Run on May 9 (registration ends tomorrow, May 6!) and a Clothes Swap on May 13. More info below!
On May 14 we will close the VISUM semester with our Farewell Party! When all good things come to an end, we at least need to make sure to say a proper Goodbye! Let’s take a last chance to party with our fellow nationals and internationals and pay our tribute to an amazing semester and drink a toast to awesome times! You already saw all the beauty of Mannheim and traveled through whole Europe now? Well, time to discover some nice places which are just in front of your nose! Come join us on a « Weinwanderung ». The best opportunity to enjoy wine directly where the grapes are growing! Every year in may, many germans go hiking through the vineyards, make the most of the good weather while drinking wine in this perfect atmosphere. So this is the best time for you to get out of Mannheim and discover the nature of one of the wine regions around here. We will take the train in the late morning, spend the day outside hiking, playing some wine-games and having a nice picnic all together. The transportation will be for free if you have a Semesterticket. So you just need to bring some wine and food for the day, sturdy shoes and last but not least, your best mood!

Social Erasmus Clothes Swap
What is it about?
We probably all have a lot of clothes we don't wear anymore though they still look nice, don't we?
To raise awareness about our wastefulness, we'd like to invite you to bring the clothes you don't wear anymore (washed and without holes!!) to swap them with fellow students.
You may also just swap a nice t-shirt for a "thank you" (not everyone has to donate something).
