On those platforms we share every event, important information, the newest updates and much more to keep you informed. You can also connect there with other VISUM members and internationals.
We hope you’ll be able to join lots of VISUM events, which we intend to make in-person. Due to the on-going situation, it’s always possible that we will have to switch to online events, but we plan on giving you the best Mannheim-in-person-experience as far as possible!
We’re looking forward to meet you and we hope you’ll have a great time with ESN VISUM.
About the events:
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have limited spots for every event & we need you to fill out a form in order to respect and fulfill the hygiene concept. Hopefully, we will be able to make events with more participants with the passage of time. The events will be published 4-2 days before the event on our website, Instagram and Facebook.
Usually, the participation of the events is free for you, such as the tickets for games (like laser-tag, ice-skating, …). That excludes: food/beverages at get-togethers, city-trips, …
VISUM – Get together
VISUM is organizing several get togethers (hopefully) probably every Tuesday at 7pm for all internationals, Buddies and VISUM members (and those who might want to be in the future). We’re partnering up with NOVUS Café & Bar and MIZU Mannheim.
If you don’t find a link to register on the website that means that there are no spots available anymore for that event. If there is something unclear, feel free to text us!
This week, Tuesday, 15.02.2022, our get-together will be at Café & Bar NOVUS. Unfortunately, all of the spots are already taken.
VISUM goes Heidelberg
Join us on our first City Trip this semester – VISUM goes Heidelberg!
Are you convinced you’ve already seen all the sights Mannheim has to offer? Then visit our city neighbor with us!
On Saturday, February 19th, we will visit Heidelberg to experience a rather classic city vibe. It is the home to the oldest university in Germany and well-known for its baroque buildings and gothic streets. Heidelberg Castle and the Alte Brücke (which is a beautiful 18th century bridge) are some of the city’s famous sights.
We will meet in front of the Mannheim main station at 2 pm and travel to Heidelberg together by S-Bahn from there.
btw: If you have your student ID from the University of Mannheim (aka e-cum) you won't need to buy a ticket, you can travel to Heidelberg for free on weekends!

The ESNcard
What is the ESN card?
The ESNcard is the membership card of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). It's valid in Europe and gives you discounts and special conditions in plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs and much more.
Where can I get it?
The ESNcard is sold exclusively by ESN VISUM Mannheim for international students for 5€. To purchase an ESN card, you just need to fill out this document: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSclG1cmFBs9dBlqV34NwqIbshgGGZj3ClZyJN1INmUzi4Qa_Q/viewform
If you pick up the ESN card we need your ID card/passport and a colored photo of yourself.

Wir haben dieses Semester viele großartige online und offline Events für euch geplant und wir freuen uns auf ein schönes Semester mit euch! Geplant ist es, den Großteil der Events in Präsenz zu veranstalten, aber es kann immer sein, dass wir aufgrund der Situation kurzfristig zu online-events wechseln müssen.
Trotzdem versuchen wir euch das bestmögliche „Mannheim-Erlebnis“ zu bieten, sofern es möglich ist!
Wir freuen uns euch nächste Woche bei unseren Events persönlich kennenzulernen und hoffen, dass ihr eine großartige Zeit mit ESN VISUM habt.
Infos über Events:
Auf Grund der Pandemiesituation haben wir nur begrenzte Teilnehmeranzahlen und würden euch deshalb bitten, euch immer im Voraus kurz in unser Formular einzutragen (wird 2-4 Tage vor dem Event gepostet), damit wir uns ordnungsgemäß an die Hygienevorschriften halten können.
Hoffentlich werden wir im Laufe des Semesters unsere Teilnehmerzahl erhöhen können!
Für gewöhnlich ist die Teilnahme an den Events für euch kostenlos, wie beispielsweise Tickets für Aktivitäten (z.B. laser-tag, Schlittschuhlaufen, …). Ausgenommen: Essen/Trinken bei get-togethers, Städtetrips, …

VISUM – Get together
VISUM veranstaltet jeden Dienstag ab 20:00 Uhr ein get-together für alle Internationals, Buddies, VISUMler (und die die es noch werden wollen). Wir haben hierfür unsere Partner „NOVUS Café & Bar“ und „MIZU Mannheim“ mit ins Boot geholt und verbringen im Wochen-Wechsel dort unsere get-togethers mit tollen Angeboten, leckeren Drinks und internationalem feeling.
VISUM goes Heidelberg
Komm mit uns nach Heidelberg!
Bist du überzeugt, dass du alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Mannheim schon gesehen hast? Komm mit in unsere Nachbarstadt!
Am Samstag, dem 19. Februar, gehen wir nach Heidelberg, um eine klassischere Schönheit zu erleben. Die Stadt ist Sitz der ältesten Universität in Deutschland, und ist bekannt für ihre barocken Gebäude und gotischen Straßen. Zu Wahrzeichen Heidelbergs zählen das Heidelberger Schloss und die Alte Brücke aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Wir treffen uns vor dem Mannheimer Hauptbahnhof und fahren zusammen mit der S-Bahn nach Heidelberg. Alle Studenten können mit ihrer E-cum am Wochenende kostenlos die Bahn benutzen.
