1. VISUM Farewell Party - Carribean Night
Unter dem Motto „Carribean Night“ habt ihr in diesem Semester ein letztes Mal die Chance so richtig international mit euren Austauschstudenten im Zimmer zu feiern - mit guter Stimmung, heißen Beats, Hawaiketten und eisgekühlten Cocktailspecials! Und wer zuerst kommt, darf sich an der Abendkasse auf einen leckeren Willkommensshot freuen!
Cocktailspecials: Malibu Maracuja und Bacardi Cola für nur 4€
Location: Zimmer, Eintritt ab 22 Uhr, 4 Euro an der Abendkasse. Kein VVK.

2. VISUM International Stammtisch – Season Ending
Heute um 20.30 Uhr treffen sich VISUMler, Internationals und Freunde in der Bar L3 ein letztes Mal, um sich mit einem entspannten Bier und guten Cocktails auf die Woche einzustimmen – schaut vorbei!
3. VISUM & Amnesty International Human Rights Film Club
Auf unserem letzten Human Rights Film Club tauchen wir in die traurige Geschichte des Völkermordes in Ruanda ein: Auf wahren Begebenheiten beruhend werden wir Zuschauer in das Unglück eines Priesters und einer englischen Lehrerin hineingezogen – während die UN Hunde erschießt statt die Bevölkerung zu schützen. Mi. 18.5., 19.00 Uhr in EW 156.
4. VISUM Gedenkstätte Sandhofen
Am Donnerstag, 19. Mai besuchen wir die Gedenkstätte Sandhofen. Die Ausstellung zeigt die Vergangenheit des Arbeiterlagers und gewährt Einblicke in die Organisationsstruktur dieser. Wir hoffen, dass Internationals und ihre deutschen Buddy zahlreich erscheinen - für ein besseres Verständnis für die damaligen Verhältnisse und wie es dazu kommen konnte. Treffpunkt: Donnerstag, 19. 5.VISUM goes Waterskiing

6. VISUM Buddyprogramm HWS 2012
Ab dem 1. Juni kannst DU dich auf unserer Homepage für das VISUM Buddy Programm im nächsten Semester (HWS12) anmelden! Dazu sind weder Vorkenntnisse noch die VISUM-Mitgliederschaft notwendig – ihr solltet einfach Spaß an einem ereignisreichen und interessanten internationalen Semester haben! Wir suchen über 400 Mannheimer Buddys – wie wäre es, wenn du und deine Freunde und Freundinnen zusammen mitwirken würden?!

3. VISUM & Amnesty International Human Rights Film Club
Our last Human Rights Film Club is coming up with the movie: Shooting Dogs - based on the experiences of BBC news producer David Belton, who worked in Rwanda during the Rwandan Genocide. The setting of the film is Kigali, Rwanda in 1994, during the Rwandan Genocide. Hurt plays a Catholic priest and Dancy an English teacher, both Europeans, who are caught up in the events of the genocide.
The film was shot in the original location of the scenes it portrays. Wed. 5/18 @ 7 PM in EW 156.

4. VISUM Memorialplace Sandhofen
On Thursday, the 19th of May, we’ll head to the memorial place of the concentration camp in Sandhofen. The exhibition shows the history of the camp and provides background insights into how concentration camps were organised. We hope that exchange students as well as their German buddys will take this opportunity to obtain a deeper understanding of this dark part of the German history that shall not be forgotten. Meeting point: Thursday, May 19th at 2.10 pm @ Paradeplatz. Entry will be free. Contact e-mail address: culture@visum-mannheim.de
